                 A medical scribe is a doctor's assistant who is in charge of writing down all information that is given to them or that is pertinent to the patient's visit, including lab results, treatment plans, allergies, and family and medical histories. A medical scribe frequently writes as a doctor would, making sure to check for any inaccuracies because they are familiar with medical terminology and have some clinical expertise. If there are any discrepancies, they alert the doctors, assist in fixing the problem, and even finish the documents.
