MEDICAL SCRIBING 

                 A medical scribe is a doctor's personal assistant who has been trained to record doctor-patient interactions during examinations. A medical scribe records patient visits into an electronic health record (EHR) in real time, as directed by a doctor, and uses the EHR to track the patient's progress. A medical scribe typically works as a contracted service or is employed by a healthcare organisation, a doctor, or both.

Success as a medical scribe depends on having a few specific talents. In order to accurately capture the doctor-patient contact, good communication skills are first and foremost necessary. Second, in order to appropriately record the visit, a solid command of medical jargon is required. Third, using the electronic medical record system requires some basic computer knowledge. Finally, maintaining organisation and attention to detail is necessary to guarantee the accuracy of the patient's record.
